High yielding bright color pods for easy shelling. Contains 14 -16 peas per pod. Pods are initially green, but over time transition through a stunning series of mottled pinks and fuchsias before finally maturing to a dark purple. Pods of varying colors are present all at once and together make quite a beautiful display. Very pretty blossoms as well.

    Great crowder for the north, high quality seed

    We have enjoyed fieldpeas while living in the south, as a northern gardener now, finding well adapted short season peas has been difficult. I tried a short row of "Top Pick" crowders with great success last year! No vining, early maturity, good plant health, high yield and easy picking! Plus easy to see ripe pods. This is a great variety for us... and I received top quality, high-germ seed form Holmes this year, at good pricing. They came up uniform in warm soil. I shared seed some with family and friends and they are doing well at each garden. I'm pleased with my purchase and Holmes seed company and service. I recommend this early solid variety and company!
